A21 Logistics Pte. Ltd.(A21) seeks to remain in the forefront of the Singapore freight forwarding industry by providing multi-modal and total logistics services; relaying cargo door-to-door worldwide and offering value added services.
In line with its expansion plan, A21 is sourcing for a Warehouse Management System to manage its warehousing operations. The main requirements include using mobility for inbound and outbound tasks, barcoding, inventory management, ability to extract ZGST information for reporting purposes and billings. KEYfields iWMS was selected as it was able to satisfy iWMS requirements without any additional customizations needed.
“The WMS evaluation was a long process. We were careful in our evaluation and invited a number of WMS vendors. To ensure that the system will be accepted later by the key users – the management wanted buy-in. Key users were involved in the selection process and nominated their preferred vendor for management endorsement. In the end, KEYfields emerged a forerunner as it not only suited our requirements, the User Interface were user friendly with ease of use”, said Joan Ong, VP for Finance of A21 Logistics Pte. Ltd.
“Today, most of the so-called WMS solutions in the market are actually inventory control or warehouse control system. What are missing in these systems may include putaway and picking strategy, account management and security, job management, lottables, barcoding and scanning and billing functionalities. Customers, the like of A21, who perform a detailed evaluation will appreciate what a WMS software can do. We are glad that A21 did a detailed evaluation and selected us out of a pool of vendors”, commented Kenny Tan, General Manager of KEYfields.
