Daikin Singapore uses Focus, a CRM solution from Malaysia, to process the Project and Quotation System. The CRM solution does not exactly fit into the Project and Quotation Requirements. As such, a mixture of Excel Spreadsheet and Focus system are used to maintain the Project and Quotation information. This does not only create redundant steps but additional red tape for the users. Reports are manually extracted from the Spreadsheet and Focus system. This increases the workload for the Sales Administrator. Hence, a system to provide a single point of entry and able to churn out the reports for analysis and control purpose is needed.

Daikin Singapore is looking for a web-based solution that is able to record and track Project and Quotation details and status for reporting and analysis purpose, a Quotation System (Qs). After evaluating a few options, Daikin decided to take a turnkey project approach as no one CRM Daikin has evaluated meets its requirements. Daikin engages KEYfields to study, analyse, design and develop a system with its key personnel. KEYfields is selected because of its domain knowledge in software development as well as one of the pioneer in using Microsoft .net platform in Singapore.

The Qs is a web-based system that will allow authorized personnel to create and maintain Projects, create and maintain Quotations, assign Project leaders, update Quotation status. It provides a platform for Project Managers, Project Leaders, Project Administrators, Salesmen to access Project and Quotation information via the Internet using Internet Explorer.
