EAC was formed in 1994 as a trading company, exporting agriculture products to neighboring countries and importing consumer products from China. In 1996, EAC diversify their business to manufacture and distribute consumer products. Over the last 15 years, EAC had grown rapidly in the consumer, food and beverage industry. Today, EAC products touch every day’s life of consumers in Myanmar.

To support business growth, EAC needed a robust WMS to manage the ever increasing volume of warehouse activities. Manual operations are no longer able to cope with the huge volume of turnaround of inventories every day. KEYfields iWMS will be implemented to manage all warehouse operations from inbound, outbound and inventory management. The management will have real-time access to warehouse order, inventory and operational KPIs to better manage the business. In addition, iWMS will also be interfaced to EAC backend SAP system.

According to Max, Chief Information Officer of EAC, “We have been talking to KEYfields since they first set foot here in 2016. Our management, supply chain and operations teams have seen their solutions numeral times before we decided to go with KEYfields. We need to select a strong product and more importantly a strong partner that will be able to go a long way with us in this digitalize journey. We have witnessed KEYfields grown in this market and have a large team of local who speak Burmese and are very knowledgeable in logistics and supply chain operations. There is no reasons why we should not partner KEYfields.”.

“We would like to thank EAC for their trust in letting KEYfields digitalizing their high volume FMCG operations. It is a vision and takes one’s courage to make a decision to step out of the comfort zone. I salute the evaluation team. Any hiccups to the operations will not only affect EAC internally but the life of most Burmese who has in one form or another uses EAC and her partners’ products daily. We came here five years ago. KEYfields Myanmar is now one of our biggest establishments within the group. We witness a growing sign of digitalization initiatives by local business communities. Digitalization allows continuity of business operations during such time where staff and management can access and work remotely with only the minimum staff force back to the warehouse. This is in line with global trend of accelerating adoption of technologies in the current COVID-19 and preparing for post-COVID ways of working.” commented Kenny Tan, Founder and CEO of KEYfields Group.
