Nov 22nd – 24th 2021 was held The 4th edition of the Industrial Transformation ASIA-PACIFIC (ITAP) 2021 with ‘Stepping Up Capabilities with Industry 4.0’ as the driving theme. The event will draw attention to four pillars Additive Manufacturing, Digital Factory, Industrial Automation and Intra-Logistics. The exhibition is organized in a hybrid format to maximize regional reach and encourage engagement in manufacturing and related industries.
This year’s ITAP focuses on Human Resources and Technology based on in-depth observations of neighbouring countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam, which have strong sentiments around labour challenges arising from social distancing protocols.
“This situation will continue and create a new normal where companies have to adjust their work patterns and production processes. This will be the driving force of Industry 4.0 and we need to develop systematically across all dimensions to create a sustainable ecosystem,” said Siriwat Waiyanit, Vice Chair (Manufacturing Automation and Robot Center) Thai-German Institute, an ITAP support trade organization in Thailand that focuses on transfer of advanced manufacturing technology to Thai industry.
Covid-19 shows how industries are interconnected, and that a healthy and resilient ecosystem benefits all. To encourage synergy among related industrial sectors, ITAP 2021 will be held in conjunction with supply chain exhibitions namely LogiSYM 2021 and CARGONOW 2021 which will be held for the first time.
